Trail Characteristics: The Jenne to Subiaco Trail is a path rich in natural beauty, characterized by sparse vegetation and stunning landscapes. The adventure begins in the incredible town of Jenne, perched atop a valley within the Monti Simbruini Regional Natural Park. From there, the trail leads to a mountain slope, offering a unique view of the valley in both directions. Continuing down, you'll reach the Aniene River, known for its clear and transparent waters, entering a sacred and historic section of the San Benedetto Path. Itinerary: 6:30 AM: Pick up tourists from hotels in Rome and transfer to the trekking region. 8:00 AM: Breakfast in Jenne, a charming town with panoramic views. 9:00 AM: Start trekking from Jenne towards a gorge known as "Monte Valhalla," offering incredible views of the San Benedetto Valley. 10:30 AM: Begin trekking along the San Benedetto Path next to the Aniene River, a breathtaking setting (a moment for introspection). 1:00 PM: End of the trekking. 1:10 PM: Celebration with local wines and cheeses. 1:50 PM: Return transfer to hotels in Rome. The total distance of this trek is 6 km, completed in approximately 4 hours, with breaks for rest, photos, contemplation of the scenery, and, of course, snacks.
